Waterparks have so many influences, it’s downright ridiculous to call them ‘pop punk’. Indeed, the trio known as ‘God’s favorite boy band’ likes a lot of different things, even if some of their fans don’t. Leader Awsten Knight has never downplayed his love for ordinary pop music. But he never denied his love for a cranked guitar.

Our list of 10 records to listen to if you love Waterparks is quite versatile. In fact, we’re pretty sure Knight, Geoff Wigington and Otto Wood would miss most of our picks. (We’re pretty sure to say that all three of them certainly heard everything.) From new hip hop leaders to post-hardcore heroes on vacation, you can see how the work of these artists can easily infuse FANDOM’s consciousness. Of course there are a number of essential things. Metaphorically, we all know that the sea does not refuse any river. That’s why we think these records may surprise you.

We keep our biggest spoiler for the last time. There are no boy bands on this list. Not because we couldn’t think of one. We didn’t want to choose the wrong one and are subjected to a wave of Knight’s capslock tweets. And then our notifications would blow up because you would give him more retweets. We are not stupid. And neither are Waterparks. Because they know the possibilities of pop music and the promise of a kickass guitar riff, they map their own future. With this list of albums that Waterparks fans should check out, we’ll only show you the routes they use.
