The virtual forum on Climate Variability and Change was held this morning in the framework of the new Bogotá ETP. The event was organized by the Institute for Risk Management and Climate Change – IDIGER -, with the coordination of the Sub-directorate for Risk Reduction and Adaptation to Climate Change. This is the first in a series of talks that will be held throughout the year.
The director of the entity, the engineer Guillermo Escobar Castro made the installation, in his opening speech he highlighted the importance of the relationship between the territorial ordering of the city and the climate variability. It is essential to identify the possible actions to be carried out in order to face these new realities in the adaptation to climate change in a regional, rural, and urban context.
